Submit a Nikola Tesla hypothesis for testing

Submit a hypothesis for testing — one inspired by Nikola Tesla’s work, or your own — and the Evaluator tests it against the data and publishes what it finds, something or nothing.

WE DON’T GO LEFT. WE DON’T GO RIGHT. WE GO TO THE FACTS.

Submit a hypothesis for testing

One hypothesis, the data that would test it, and an optional email. No account, no login. The test plan is written down before anyone looks at the data, and the result is published either way.

Prefer email? Send the hypothesis from Gmail to nikolatweb@gmail.com.

How does it work?

Have a hunch and the data to test it? A spreadsheet you’ve kept for years, a trunk of your grandfather’s records, a public file nobody has checked. NIK, our always-on evaluation machine, tests reader questions the same way we test our own — pre-registered, seeded, reproducible, published either way.

01

Send the idea

Email us the five lines below. No attachments yet.

02

We reply within 7 days

Yes, not yet, or no — with the reason. Every answer goes in the public ledger.

03

If yes, send the data card and the file

We fingerprint every file (SHA-256) and write the test plan down before we look at the data.

04

Friday it's published

The method, the seed, the numbers, the script. You hear first, then X.

The five lines

This is the whole email. The button pre-fills it — you just answer.

  1. My question, in one sentence — does A show any measurable effect on B?
  2. The data — what it is, who collected it, the dates, roughly how many rows.
  3. Where it came from — a link if public, or “my own” and how it was measured.
  4. Publish and credit me as — first name + last initial + state (default) / full name / anonymous.
  5. Anything else.

Goes straight to nikolatweb@gmail.com. No attachments yet — we send a data card if we take it.

The i’s and t’s

Plain English, short. This is what you agree to when you send an idea.

What we accept
  • A question that can be tested: “Does A show any measurable effect on B?” — one question per submission.
  • Data you have the right to share: public agency records, your own measurements, family records you own, published datasets with a licence that allows re-use.
  • Formats: CSV, JSON, TXT, XLSX, or a ZIP of those. Anything else — ask first.
What we never accept
  • Personal data about anyone (names with addresses, health records, anything about a named living person).
  • Data you do not have the right to share — an employer’s, a subscription service’s, someone else’s research.
  • Prediction claims. We do not test “X predicts earthquakes.” We test “does X show a measurable effect on Y.”
  • Executables, macros, links to file-sharing pages we did not ask for.
What happens to your data
  • You keep ownership. Sending it does not transfer it.
  • You give Nikola Tesla Web a non-exclusive, permanent licence to analyse it, to publish the results and the method, and — if you tick YES on the data card — to publish the data itself inside the reproduce bundle so others can re-run the test.
  • We fingerprint every file (SHA-256) on receipt and never edit the original. What we publish is the fingerprint, the method, and the result.
  • We keep it. Evaluations must stay reproducible, so the data behind a published page is not deleted. If you need it removed, write to us — we will unpublish the data file and say so on the page, but the result stays.
  • We do not sell it, share it privately, or use it for anything but the evaluation.
Credit

Default: first name, last initial, state or country (“Tom S., South Dakota”). Full name if you ask. Anonymous if you ask. Your email is never published.

What we promise
  • A reply inside 7 days: YES, NOT YET, or NO — with the reason.
  • If YES: the result is published whether it finds something or nothing, with the script, seed and data fingerprints.
  • If NO: it still goes in the public ledger as declined, with the reason, so nobody can say we buried it.
  • We test at least one submission a week. We cannot test all of them.
What we do not promise
  • That your idea will be tested, or tested quickly.
  • Any outcome. NIK reports what the numbers say.
  • Any advice for life-safety decisions. Use official agencies for that.
Errata

If a published evaluation is wrong, we publish the correction on the same page, dated, and keep the original visible. Tell us: nikolatweb@gmail.com.

What do people ask before submitting?

How soon will I hear back?

A reply inside 7 days: YES, NOT YET, or NO — with the reason.

Do I keep ownership of my data?

Yes. You keep ownership. Sending it does not transfer it.

Will you publish a result that finds nothing?

Yes. If we take it, the result is published whether it finds something or nothing, with the script, seed and data fingerprints.
